“I am a painter, collagist and texture addict, living in Seattle since 1999.
I have made most of my my living as a set painter for theatre, opera, and film, but my off hours are spent making artwork that reflects my love of animals and nature. Lately, I have become obsessed (as many are) with the mysterious and odd world of fungi. In creating these paintings , I aim to steer myself and the viewer to take a better and longer look at these quiet little creatures that are always underfoot, overhead, and within us.

These wee paintings begin with a scrap of layered salvaged wallpaper from my 110 year old house. They are drawn with ink and pencil, painted with acrylic paint, and coated with two coats of resin. The resin reminds me of the surface of a puddle after a rain.”
